Ahmet Selim Pehlivan was born in 1989 in Istanbul.He completed his high school education at Uskudar Science high school at 2006.After that he joined to Sabanci University Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences at 2006. He completed mechatronics engineering and perpetuates his master studies at mechatronics department. His current research topic is about wind energy and wind turbines technologies and he has been a teaching assistant for several courses at Faculty of Enginnering and Natural Sciences.

Selim Pehlivan has been working on the MILRES Project since he got accepted to Sabanci University M.Sc. study. MILRES project is a national project which aims to build first hundred percent national wind turbines.The project is supported by TUBITAK and he has been working under supervision of Mahmut Aksit who is the general manager and director of the project.
