Ahmet Fatih Tabak, was born in Çorlu-Tekirdağ-Turkey in the year 1982. His home town is Lüleburgaz-Kırklareli, although he spent most of the summer time in Tekirdağ for several years. He first went to Emrullah Efendi İlkokulu and then Lüleburgaz Anadolu Lisesi, year nineteen something. He happened to be around industrial machinery for several times due to his father’s profession. He did his first experiments on a saucepan top while trying to invent some kind of lightning conductor... Well... Sometime around the year 1992 his brother (Halil Can) opened his eyes for the first time, God bless him. Those were the days... Whatever, after the famous ÖSS exam he decided to be a different engineer and came to Sabanci University. His dream was to be a Computer Engineer but, oh cruel fate, he was sucked into Mechatronics world with a series of fortunate events. After third year he preferred to go into hardcore design business instead of control stuff.  He says ‘You can not fly a plane with one wing missing, no matter how good your control algrotihm is’. He received his BSc. from Mechatronics program in the year 2005, after building the only working direct drive scara robot made by undergraduate students, with three other companions (Atakan, Uğur, Melih). But he could not live outside the campus for long so they put him in his natural habitat one more time in the same year, only after a few months. Now he is a teaching assistant and MSc. student in Mechatronics program. He likes to abuse his students with multidimensional unsteady heat conduction equation or Navier-Stokes equations, both in cylindrical coordinates. His main research interest is micro fluid & micro piezo structure interactions. His masters research is to design a propulsion system in micro realm; no he is not trying to build some kind of an artificial spermatozoa as some say, he is not that mad yet...

He likes to sleep around working machines, he claims that the sound makes him calm. He likes to read about ancient legends, crazy stuff like Marduk, Atlantis, Lemuria, Mu etc.  He is a Galatasaray fun as his grandfathers or little brother are but because of his temper he prefers to watch matches only against foreign teams. He actually danced in the middle of the mess hall after Hasan Şaş scored against Brazil during World Cup 2002.
